Create your own wedding invitation cards

Your is an important part of the whole event and you want it to be just right.  If you like the idea of being hands-on and really involved in the whole process then designing, and making your cards could sound like a great idea.

Depending on your numbers you’ve got four ways into the whole thing:
1. Footfall it to a printer and make your choice
2. Go online and track down a personalized service
3. Invest in a software program and make your own
4. Hand craft your invitations

You will have to decide which of these sounds like you and your choice will most likely be a mixture of time, distance, availability, customization, motivation and finance.

Software of course does take time to get to grips with and if you’re not a tekkie then you may be able to enlist a tried and trusted friend to help you with the task.  Perhaps they could offer their services as part of their ‘gift’ to you.  Then they can wither ‘pass on’ their knowledge, or leave it with them to design and print – to your specifications.

Most software these days comes with a decent manual, and often extra online help and one of the ways of making the right decision is to trawl around and see what gets the ratings. Software can often give you ideas for wedding invitation card wording too as that can often be a cause of some uncertainty.  Despite our technological age, there are still rules of etiquette when it comes to the wedding ceremony.

Amazon offer a wide selection of print and invitation maker software, much of which can be used for all sorts of other occasional invitations after the event.

You’ll also need to think about your card stock and printing supplies.  Stinting on your card is not something recommended at this stage and the right weight of card stock and finish can really make a difference to your overall theme.

Paper.com are, rightly so No.1 in a Google search, because their range of paper, and paper-related products is colossal!  Anything from printed invitation pads to card, to gifts, papers.  Read down the right hand side of their site and you’ll find just 14 paper brand names just in the ‘A’s’.  If you know what you’re looking for then you won’t be disappointed, and even if you’re not sure, they have such a superb choice that chances are you’ll track down something to appeal to your eye and your pocket.

Just be warned: - the site is somewhat addictive, so give yourself a bit of time to trawl, undisturbed and you’ll soon have your sorted.

If you'd rather dive in and have your cards personalized to your specifications, then you'll want one of the best companies around - Design Crafters.  Just a quick read of their website will give you glowing testimonials from happy customers, happy with their work and the service.  I recommend you take a look even if you contemplating creating your own, just to get a look at what's possible.

There are many ways to get the most beautiful wedding invitation cards and your first choice is whether to go for software or print.
