Craft Demonstrating

Giving Scintillating Craft Talks

How to show and sell your crafts

This book draws on the experience - the good, the bad and the ugly from going on the road, talking to groups about my teaching career.

It is based on many years of  Speaking and Demonstrating in and around Norfolk, UK.

The talks I gave were always different because my teaching was varied.

I taught in many different settings. These included  day care, running activities for the elderly and those with disabilities, teacher -training on Nationally Accredited Programmes and for Independent Charities, assessing crafts for a National Womens' Federation and worked in County Adult Education

Sometimes my talks  were about Reminiscence, other times about making anything from paper crafts to Pewter work.  Then again I might get requests for a talk on Patchwork, Christmas Crafts, or plain 'whatever you like'.

Versatility

It needed me to be versatile, and on the ball.

Talking to people who wanted to listen and those who didn't.

Sometimes selling my crafts, other times selling myself.

Whatever it took, I learnt to love it, and to be good at it.

And you can to.
