Top tips for writing a baby shower thank you card
Writing a baby shower thank you card should be one of your early priorities once the day is over. It needn’t be a difficult task, but it is expected. A hand-written note shows that you really appreciate the gift. Making it personal lets the giver know how much you value their time and trouble.
As soon as possible after your baby shower make a point of getting down to writing your thank-you’s. It pays to stock up on thank you note cards to make the writing easier. There is such a good selection out there that you can choose a card and a size that will suit your writing needs.
Writing your baby shower thank you card is really a step-by-step process. Instead of being general, really comment on how you love their particular gift – mentioning it and saying how your little one will really enjoy it etc…
Do use people’s names in your opening i.e. Dear Aunt Mary and remember to sign your card from both parents – and of course add your baby’s name too.
If you have a special story to share about the gift – let the giver know that too. Certain baby shower gifts may prompt you to recall your own memories of similar gifts as a youngster, so let those concerned know how much their gift meant to. Be genuinely grateful and appreciative.
Two more sets of people to thank when this is done – your baby show attendants and your party giver. Lt them know how much you have valued all their help, and particular skills.
