A quick and easy handmade greeting card idea using natural materials
If you’re looking for an easy handmade greeting card idea using natural materials then you won’t do wrong with cork, feathers and a loofa.
It doesn’t require any great skill to put together a great looking card using these easy-to-find materials. If you keep a theme – like nature, then gathering your decorative pieces is even easy.
Once you’ve decided on your theme – such as a bunch of flowers, think of the various things that you could use to craft it. Corks, cut into slivers could become flower petals. Feathers’ could achieve a natural ‘leaf’ shape, and a stranded loofa will look perfect as a natural, organic vase.
Of course, you could use other things in your natural card too, but this is a great start. If you can, close your eyes and imagine how your bits and bobs would look assembled in this way. How could you place them? How do the colors come together and what else might you be able to track down for added effect.
The joy of using natural materials is that they will all work well together. They do in nature, so they will on your card.
